Use your own AI provider key
Connect your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini or Moonshot Kimi API key, or use managed AI credit on a paid plan.

During the 14-day trial, AI runs through your own provider account. Paid plans also include managed AI credit, so you can use Stratafold’s provider account instead. You can still connect your own key at any time.

Connect a key
- Create an API key in your provider account.
- In Stratafold, open Business settings → AI provider keys.
- Choose Add your key next to the provider, paste it and choose Save and verify.
Stratafold checks the key with the provider before saving it. A key the provider rejects is not stored. Owners and admins can connect keys; editors can’t see them.
What changes
- Every workspace in the business that uses that provider’s models now runs on your key.
- The provider bills BYOK usage directly to your account. It never consumes Stratafold managed AI credit.
- In AI settings, those models are marked your key. Providers Stratafold doesn’t offer directly become available as soon as you connect a key.
How your key is protected
Your key is encrypted before it is stored, and the encryption is tied to your business, so it can’t be read or reused anywhere else. It is only decrypted for the moment a request is sent to the provider, it never appears in the dashboard or API again, and only the last four characters are shown so you can tell keys apart.
Replace or remove a key
Use Replace key when you rotate keys at your provider and Check key to re-test a saved one. Remove stops using it immediately: paid workspaces fall back to available Stratafold managed AI, or requests stop until you choose another model or add credit.
