Get started with Stratafold

Create your business, set up a workspace for each website, brief the AI and publish your first entry in about ten minutes.

For everyone. 6 minute read. Updated .

Stratafold organises everything in layers. Your business holds your team and billing. Each workspace inside it is one website, brand or location, with its own content, AI brief and API keys. Content schemas describe what an entry contains, and entries are the pieces you write and publish.

1. Create your business

Go to Start free trial and fill in your name, work email, a password of at least 10 characters and your business name. You can also name your first website and your industry. Stratafold creates the business, your first workspace and a 14-day Free trial with up to 1 workspace and 3 team members.

When the trial ends without a paid plan, the business keeps read access to its content, but editing, publishing and AI actions pause until it subscribes.

2. Connect your website

Next, Stratafold asks Where is your website?

  • WordPress: follow the on-screen steps to create an Application Password and paste it in. From then on, everything you publish in Stratafold appears on your site automatically — see Connect your WordPress site.
  • Built by a developer: they connect it with an API key from Settings → API keys, using the delivery API guide.
  • Webflow: paste an API token from your site settings and choose your blog collection — see Connect your Webflow site.
  • Shopify: make a small Stratafold app in Shopify’s Dev Dashboard and paste its Client ID and secret — see Connect your Shopify store.
  • Squarespace or another site: paste one snippet and your posts or a form show there — see Show your posts and forms on any website.
  • Wix: paste your dashboard link and an API key from your Wix account — see Connect your Wix blog.
  • No website yet: choose it anyway, or Skip for now. You can write and prepare everything now, and connect a website any time from Settings → Website.

3. Brief the AI

Then you land on AI settings for your first workspace. This is the brief every AI action in the workspace follows, so it is worth five minutes:

  1. Pick the closest Industry template and choose Apply template. It fills in a starting description, audience, tone and vocabulary.
  2. Edit About the business and Target audience so they describe you, not a generic company in your industry.
  3. Choose a Tone of voice and list any words the AI must never use under Never use.
  4. Choose Save AI settings.

The panel on the right, What the AI reads, shows the exact system prompt your settings produce. Read our guide to the AI brief for what makes a good one.

4. Create a content schema

Open Content schemas in the sidebar and choose New schema. A blog post, for example, might have a Title (text), a Slug generated from the title, an Excerpt, a Body (rich text) and Tags. Choose Create schema. Modelling content covers every field type.

5. Write or generate your first entry

Open Content items. Choose New entry to write one yourself, or Generate with AI, pick the schema and describe what you need in the Brief. The AI drafts every field it is allowed to write, in your voice, and saves the result as a draft. It appears in the list as soon as it is ready.

Open the entry, review it, and choose Publish when you are happy. Drafts are never visible outside Stratafold.

What to do next

  • Invite your team and decide who can edit which workspace.
  • Add a workspace for each additional website in Business settings → Workspaces.
  • Turn on an automation so every new entry gets SEO metadata automatically.
