Get started with Stratafold

Your business holds your team, your plan and your AI key. Inside it, each website has its own content and its own brief for the AI. You set up the kinds of content you publish — blog posts, products, pages — and then write each one.

Your Overview keeps a checklist of the steps below and ticks each one off: Try the included AI allowance, Set your brand and writing style, Write your first post and Put it online.

1. Create your business

Go to Start free trial. Fill in your Business name, Your website’s name and What your business does, then either choose Continue with Google or enter your name, email and a password of at least 10 characters, using at least 4 different ones.

Stratafold creates your business, your first website and a 14-day free trial for one website and up to three people. Stratafold doesn’t ask for a card. Your first business receives 200 trial AI credits on Stratafold’s own provider accounts. No additional API key is needed. Pictures can use at most 20 of those credits, preserving the rest for writing and other AI tasks.

When the trial ends without a plan, nothing is deleted and what you published stays online, but writing, publishing and the AI pause until you choose a plan under Business settings → Plan and usage.

2. Say where your website is

Next, Stratafold asks Where is your website?

• I don’t have a website yet: choose Set up my website. Stratafold hosts a website for you: it opens Your website (see step 6), and once you save, Next: teach the AI (step 2) carries on with the welcome.
• WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or Wix: connect it on the spot, and everything you publish appears there. These connections are newly opened, and we are still checking each one with real accounts. The guides walk you through each: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and Wix.
• Squarespace: choose Get the snippet. Paste it into a page once and your posts or a form show there — see Show your posts and forms on any website.
• Something else, or built by a developer: Get the snippet works there too. A developer can also use the For developers tab in Website settings and the delivery API guide.

Not sure yet? Choose I’ll decide later. You can connect a website any time from Publish elsewhere in the menu. Until you answer, the Overview’s Put it online step says Choose where your website is and takes you back to this question.

3. Try the included AI access

Your first business includes 200 trial AI credits. Open Create something, choose a post or picture, describe what you want and review the displayed cost. The AI follows your workspace’s brand brief. Nothing is published automatically.

You may add your own provider key under Settings → Advanced security & email → Advanced: use your own AI account, but this is optional. Using your own AI key explains that option.

4. Teach the AI

Then you reach Teach the AI. Everything the AI writes for this website follows what you tell it here, so it is worth five minutes:

1. Under Your business, pick the closest Ready-made brief — there are ones for florists, cafés and bakeries, local shops, beauty salons, trades and more — and choose Use this brief. It fills only the boxes you left empty; if you have already written something, it asks before replacing it.
2. Make About the business and Who your customers are describe you, not any business like yours.
3. Under Voice, choose a Tone of voice, and list anything the AI must avoid under Never use.
4. Choose Save.

The panel What the AI is told shows the exact instructions your answers produce. Read Teach the AI for what makes a good brief.

5. Write your first post

Open Content. If nothing is set up yet, What will you write? offers Blog posts, Things you sell, Print-on-demand and Website pages. One click sets it up and opens your first one. Need something else, such as workshops? Choose Add a kind of content and describe it in a sentence — see Set up the kinds of content you write.

Write it yourself, or choose Write it with AI, say What should it be about? and choose Write the draft. The AI fills in every box it is allowed to, in your voice, and saves a draft. It appears in your list as soon as it is ready.

Read it, change what you like and choose Publish. Drafts are never visible outside Stratafold.

6. Put it online

If you don’t have a website elsewhere, Stratafold hosts one for you:

1. Open Your website in the menu.
2. Under What should your website be called?, type a name. Your website will be at yourname.stratafold.site.
3. Switch on My website is ready for visitors and choose Save.

Blog posts, products and website pages you publish then appear there by themselves: blog posts at yourname.stratafold.site/blog/…, products at …/shop/…, and pages at their own address. Other kinds of content you set up yourself, such as workshops, don’t get a page of their own; to show them, add a list of them to a page. Until you choose a page under Which page do people land on?, visitors land on your first page, or your newest posts if you have no pages. Later, Use your own web address points an address you own at it.

After you publish something that has a page there, Stratafold says where it is live, with View it. The Where it appears panel beside each post shows the same.

What to do next

• Invite your team and decide who can open which website.
• Add another website under Business settings → Websites → Add a website.
