Brief the AI so it writes like your business

Configure a workspace’s AI brief: industry context, audience, tone of voice, vocabulary, models and automations that run on their own.

For owners and admins. 8 minute read. Updated .

Generic AI tools start every conversation from zero. In Stratafold, each workspace has a standing brief, and every AI action there follows it: drafts, SEO metadata and content reviews. Write it once and every editor benefits.

Open AI settings in the sidebar. Owners and admins can edit it; editors can read it.

Start from an industry template

Templates exist for luxury real estate, fashion e-commerce, B2B SaaS, restaurants, healthcare clinics, legal services, design agencies, nonprofits, fitness studios and financial advisers. Choose one under Industry template and Apply template. Each includes sensible guardrails, such as fair-housing language for real estate or “not medical advice” for clinics.

Then make it yours. A template is a starting point, not a brief.

Describe the business precisely

About the business is the most important field. Specifics beat adjectives:

  • Weak: “A leading provider of quality real estate services.”
  • Strong: “A boutique agency selling two- and three-bedroom condos on the waterfront, with an in-house concierge team and viewings seven days a week.”

Target audience should say who reads your content and what they care about. Primary use case tells the AI what it will mostly write, such as listings and neighbourhood guides.

Set the voice

Pick one of nine Tone of voice presets, from Professional to Minimalist, then use Tone notes for nuance. Brand guidelines is for rules: claims you can’t make, formatting preferences, spelling conventions.

Under Preferred terms, list words to use where they fit naturally. Under Never use, list the phrases that make you wince. Output language sets the language and locale, such as en-GB for British spelling.

Choose the model

Under Engine, pick a model: Claude from Anthropic, GPT from OpenAI, Gemini from Google or Kimi from Moonshot AI. Models marked your key run on your business’s own provider account. See using your own AI key.

Max output tokens caps each response, including the model’s reasoning; 16,000 suits long articles. Creativity applies only to models that accept it.

Check what the AI reads

The What the AI reads panel shows the compiled system prompt, updating as you type. If something there surprises you, the AI will be surprised too. With every request the AI also receives the schema of the content it is writing, including your per-field instructions, and its answer is checked against that schema before it is saved.

Automations

Under Automations, choose Add automation to let the AI act without being asked:

  • When an entry is created → Generate SEO metadata fills in search and social metadata for every new entry.
  • When an entry is published → Suggest content optimizations reviews what went live and stores suggestions.

Limit an automation to certain schemas with For, or leave it on all of them. Automations never publish anything on their own.

Guardrails that are always on

Whatever you write, the AI is told not to invent verifiable specifics: prices, statistics, addresses, awards, client names, testimonials, legal or medical claims. If a brief needs a fact you didn’t provide, it writes around it instead of making it up.
