Connect your Shopify store
Publish from Stratafold straight to your Shopify blog and store pages. Make a small private app in the Dev Dashboard, paste its Client ID and secret, and you are done.

Once your store is connected, posts you publish in Stratafold become articles on your Shopify blog, and pages become store pages — usually within a minute.
Since January 2026, Shopify no longer lets a store create an access key by itself. Instead you make a small app that belongs to you and only reaches your own store. It takes about three minutes and needs no code.
1. Make a Stratafold app in Shopify
- Open dev.shopify.com/dashboard and sign in with the account that owns your store.
- Choose Create app → Start from Dev Dashboard, name it Stratafold, and choose Create.
- On the Versions tab, leave the App URL as it is. Under Scopes, add
write_content, then choose Release. - Go to Home, choose Install app, pick your store and choose Install.
- Open Settings. Keep this page open — you need the Client ID and Client secret next.
2. Connect it in Stratafold
- Open Settings → Website in your workspace and choose Connect a Shopify store — or answer Shopify when a new business asks Where is your website?
- Enter your store address (it ends in
.myshopify.com; any link from your Shopify admin works too), then paste the Client ID and Client secret. - Choose Continue. Stratafold finds your store and its blogs. Pick the blog for your posts, tick what should appear, and choose Connect my store.
What happens next
- Publishing a post creates a visible article on your blog, with its first image as the article image and its SEO description as the summary. Pages become store pages.
- Publishing again updates the same article or page rather than creating a copy.
- Unpublishing, archiving or deleting hides it from your store. Shopify keeps it, so nothing is deleted.
- Things you published before connecting aren’t sent in bulk. Open one and choose Send to website.
If something goes wrong
If Shopify is busy, Stratafold keeps trying on its own. If the app is uninstalled, its secret is rotated, or it loses the write_content permission, publishing is paused and Stratafold says why. Nothing is lost: fix it in the Dev Dashboard — or choose Change secret in Settings → Website — then Check connection, and everything waiting is sent.
