Connect your WordPress site
Publish from Stratafold straight to your WordPress site — no plugin, no developer. Create an Application Password, paste it in, and you are done.

Once your WordPress site is connected, everything you publish in Stratafold appears on it automatically, usually within a minute. Nothing needs installing on your site, and your own WordPress password is never shared.
Before you start
You need to be able to sign in to your WordPress dashboard with an account that has the Editor or Administrator role, and your site must use an https:// address.
1. Create an Application Password in WordPress
An Application Password is a separate login that WordPress creates for one app. You can remove it at any time without changing your own password.
- Sign in to your WordPress dashboard — usually
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin. - Go to Users → Profile.
- Scroll down to Application Passwords. Type Stratafold as the name and choose Add New Application Password.
- WordPress shows the password once. Copy it. It looks like
abcd EFGH ijkl MNOP qrst UVWX— the spaces don’t matter.
If there is no Application Passwords section, your site isn’t on https:// yet, or a security plugin has switched Application Passwords off. Your web host can help with either.
2. Connect it in Stratafold
- Open Settings → Website in your workspace, or answer WordPress when a new business asks Where is your website?
- Enter your website address, your WordPress username and the Application Password.
- Tick what should appear on your website. Content with long-form text is ticked for you.
- Choose Connect my website. Stratafold checks the details with your site straight away and tells you plainly if anything is wrong.
What happens next
- Publishing an entry sends it to your site. Pages become WordPress pages; everything else becomes a blog post.
- The first image becomes the post’s featured image, and the SEO description becomes its excerpt.
- Publishing again updates the same post rather than creating a copy.
- Unpublishing, archiving or deleting turns the post back into a draft in WordPress. Stratafold never deletes anything from your site.
- Things you published before connecting aren’t sent in bulk. Open one and choose Send to website.
Each entry’s On your website panel shows whether it is live, with a link to see it.
If something goes wrong
If your site is briefly unreachable, Stratafold keeps trying on its own. If WordPress refuses the password — for example after it was removed — publishing is paused so your site doesn’t lock Stratafold out for repeated failed logins. Nothing is lost: create a new Application Password, choose Change password in Settings → Website, and everything waiting is sent.
